Every official HWiNFO build is digitally signed by REALiX s.r.o. Right-click the installer or executable, open Properties, and confirm the Digital Signatures tab lists a valid REALiX certificate.
When SHA-256 checksums are published alongside a release, compare them with PowerShell:

Antivirus false-positive warning
Some antivirus products flag HWiNFO because the hwinfo64a.sys kernel driver uses privileged hardware access patterns that heuristic scanners associate with unwanted software. This is a known false positive, not an indication of malware.
